A photoshoot on Lake Como in Varenna is one of the most frequent requests among my clients. This small village (just over 700 inhabitants) has become famous far beyond Italy for its rich history, architecture and culture.
Just across the lake, on the other side, is located perhaps the most visited small town of Bellagio, crowded by tourists most of the time. Varenna has managed to maintain its atmosphere of peaceful life on Lake Como, especially if you come here in the morning or at sunset or during non-tourist season.
Villa Monastero with its botanical gardens and Villa Cipressi, the church of San Giorgio (Chiesa di San Giorgio), the Lovers’ Alley (Passeggiata degli Innamorati) and the Vezio Castle (Castello di Vezio): there are plenty of places to admire and to take beautiful pictures.
With Mariella and Stefano, we chose a simple itinerary for their engagement photo session on Lake Como, including the city center, a short stop for refreshments and a walk by the lake. Stay tuned for updates! In my next post, I’ll show the wedding of this wonderful couple in Apulia.
