Sardinia is one of the best destinations for a beach holiday in Italy. It offers clean turquoise sea and a rich choice of hotels and resorts perfect for an active holiday, but also for a secluded honeymoon vacation or a getaway for families with children. But lately, Sardinia is becoming ever more popular among those who choose to get married in Italy. Here you can hold a small symbolic wedding on the beach, a formal civil ceremony at the City Hall or a religious wedding.
Wedding planners in Sardinia offer comprehensive packages for all kinds of signature weddings: vintage, country style, Shabby chic or an individually created style, bringing the couple’s vision to life. Today the newlyweds prefer the north of Sardinia, Olbia and Alghero province, but we are sure that many could find a place that would delight them also in the southern part of the island.
The small wedding in Sardinia of Maria and Ilya was held in the very middle of summer. A cozy villa on the Costa Corallina was rented for preparations. It overlooks the island of Tavolara and is very close to the beaches.
For the official ceremony the couple has chosen the City Hall of Olbia, and the small island of Tavolara was the setting of their symbolic wedding. There in the presence of their near and dear they exchanged love and fidelity vows.
The island is famous among diving enthusiasts, but we were attracted by the deserted beaches that are an extremely rare thing in Sardinia in summer and especially valuable for those who get married to the music of waves and the cries of seagulls. After a quick photoshoot, a glass of champagne and a boat trip we surrendered to the warm caressing sea of Sardinia that was waiting for us.
