Today we will show you an original and impactful location for your destination wedding in Abruzzo. In 1981 Gianni Masciarelli founded a winery in the heart of Abruzzo region in Central Italy. He followed his entrepreneurial instinct and his winery has earned a high rating in Italian winemaking industry. Today the name of the Masciarelli family is associated not only with famous wines, but also with a 17th century Semivicoli castle, located between the Maiella mountain range and the Adriatic coast.
The castle has preserved its rural-life character and acquired modern elegance after a recent renovation. Its exquisite interiors, antique furniture, attention to the traditions of local cuisine and excellent wines have won devotion of the newlyweds from all over the world, coming here to get married.
Gareth and Gabrielle, a couple from the UK has chosen the castle of Semivicoli for their destination wedding in Abruzzo. They had a spacious suite at their disposal for preparations. The ceremony was celebrated in the church adjoining the castle and the banquet was set in the vineyards! And then there were dances in the open air until late night. What an excellent program for an Italian-style wedding, where all features of the location guarantee a magical atmosphere and of course great photos!
