Rome is the capital of Italy. It`s an ancient city, its history counts couple of millenniums. This is the cultural and political centre with great number of historical monuments, works of art and architecture. Today Rome is a modern and noisy city, in which ancient monuments, the spirit of antiquity and lineaments usual for megapolis are surprisingly interlaced.

There`s always somebody in business suit making all the efforts to get to work by his motorbike, somebody on trishaw viewing the sights and somebody enjoying freshening ice-cream made by hand in the shade. Here is the romance and shake from the history of this grand Empire at the same time, and fuss propagating from perpetual tourists flow and calmness, and peace the millenary monuments inspire with.

The Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the Capitoline Hill and the Palatine Hill, St.Peter`s Basilica – the list of places for photography in Rome is endless! Each square, each street in the centre of the city is worthy to embellish your photos.

Photography in Rome will be interesting for those who care for the ancient city`s history, its rich architecture and for romantics, of course. Do you want to feel like the protagonists of “Roman Holiday” with the incommunicable atmosphere of love, fun and airiness? Choose the photography in Rome!

The features of photography in Rome:

  • the centre of Rome is compact, so its pedestrian ways are comfortable and getting by the car is difficult,
  • near the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain there are a lot of tourists at any season, so early morning is the best time to make photos at these places,
  • from March to October it`s sunny and hot in Rome, so if it is possible, choose evening or morning for making photos,
  • as the sea is nearby, the photography can be divided into 2 parts: directly in the city and on the beach.

My wife and I will be arriving in Rome on 5/24/12 via cisure ship. We would like to see as much as possible in one day as we will be leaving for Venice on 5/25. Must see sights for us are Sistine Chapel, St. Peters Basilica , Colosseum and the catecombs. Wouldn't mind seeing Trevi Fountain and any other sites you suggest. Would need to be picked up at the cisure terminal and dropped off at hotel. What can you offer us?
