When loving couples looking for a destination beach wedding, they rarely think about Italy. But in recent years, more and more hotels and villas on the shores of the Adriatic, Tyrrhenian and Ligurian seas offer their guests not only beach holidays, but also an official or symbolic wedding ceremony at the water’s edge. Marco and Grace, an Italian-English couple, seized this opportunity by choosing Grand Hotel Berti Silvi Marina for their destination wedding in Abruzzo region. You could also have a look at their engagement photo session on my site.
The wedding day preparations, the ceremony and the banquet were held in one location, greatly simplifying the logistics of the day and allowing the newlyweds and their guests to enjoy the magic.
Spirits were flying high during preparations on this destination wedding in Abruzzo, reaching the top when Grace’s girlfriends handed her, according to the old English tradition, “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”. Although a thunderstorm with pouring rain broke during the ceremony, but it only added a playful note for the dinner that followed, not overshadowing the moment.
Once again, we had a confirmation that people and emotions are the most important thing on the wedding day and not the weather forecast.
