The lakes of Northern Italy are among the most beautiful in Europe, and the charming Lake Maggiore is one of them. There is a town of Stresa on its shore, where Irina and Vitaliy enjoyed their after-wedding couple photoshoot on Lake Maggiore.

Lake Maggiore is a truly unique place: the longest of all the glacial lakes in the pre-Alps, it is surrounded by green hills that make its climate mild and its landscapes extremely photogenic.

Many cozy islands are scattered along the lake. The most outstanding is the group of the Borromean Islands. You can see chic palaces, landscape gardens and other amazing buildings on Isola Madre, Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori. The Borromean Islands are considered a miracle of architectural thought and are clearly visible from the waterfront of Stresa, known as the “gem of the lake” because of its spectacular position and historical heritage.

Stresa is connected by direct rail and road links to Milan, making it even more attractive for tourists and, of course, for romantic couples from all over the world.

Irina and Vitaliy were no exception. We decided to combine a photo walk through the characteristic narrow streets of Stresa with a few must-have shots at the waterfront, and then headed to the gardens of Villa Taranto. Over a thousand plants grow there, making it a pleasant and refreshing spot that is excellent for a photoshoot. Whenever you come here, there will be flowers in blossom, any time of the year. Our couple photoshoot on Lake Maggiore was in early spring, so we were lucky to contemplate the blooming of magnolias, cherries and camellias.
