Wedding in Rome || Igor and Svetlana
We rarely shoot weddings-for-two. For a posed shots photographer that’s a happy hunting ground, but for a reportage one a “just us” marriage means a very limited torylines, with not so varied emotions or moments. This would entail directing the events for an interesting and engaging story. Summing up, it is exactly the opposite of what we like and and appreciate in wedding photography. But if two independent and self-confident people, instead of hours of shooting, decide to have a fun and romantic day, and the photographer has the role of an observer and not that of a director, it radically changes the situation :)
The wedding of Svetlana and Igor was just like we described above. Slow preparations at their favourite Grand Hotel Minerva in the center of Rome the couple knows and loves. Then a morning coffee in the old Trastevere district, a small-scale ceremony at the Red Hall of the Campidoglio, dinner for two in the banquet hall of the restaurant L'Angolino di Mirko in Tivoli and a walk in the famous Villa d'Este. And at the end of the day they enjoyed Rome by night before a spectacular evening meal, served to their room at Grand Hotel Minerva.
